Community rules
Last updated: 23 September 2026
8isok is a forum of men talking with men. These rules are short on purpose: they are the minimum this place needs to stay somewhere a man dares to say what he says nowhere else. They apply the same on the website and in the app, and you accept them when you create your account.
What this place is, and what it isn't
8isok is peer conversation: people going through the same thing, listening to each other. We are not professionals, we give no professional advice of any kind, and nothing you read here replaces someone qualified.
If you are in an emergency or thinking about harming yourself, call Línea de la Vida (800 911 2000, free, 24/7, Mexico) or 911. This forum does not handle emergencies.
8isok is for adults 18 and over only. When you sign up you declare your age; if you declare you are under 18, no account is created and we keep nothing from that attempt.
What belongs here
Almost anything, as long as you say it the way you'd say it to someone sitting across from you:
- Telling your own story plainly: your age, your city, your job, your family, what you are going through. Talking about yourself never breaks a rule here.
- Disagreeing, arguing with an idea, saying you think something is nonsense.
- Asking, asking for opinions, or asking just to be read.
- Posting anonymously when that gives you more room. Anonymity is part of the deal here, not a privilege you earn.
If you'd rather not use your name, post anonymously. And think before including details that identify you or other people: what you post is visible to anyone who visits the site.
What is not allowed
Five things, and none of them has a softer version:
- Harassment and attacks on the person. Criticizing an idea, yes; hounding, humiliating, threatening or insulting whoever said it, no. Nor hate against someone for who they are: origin, color, religion, orientation, identity or disability.
- Spam and promotion. Ads, affiliate links, client hunting, chain messages and accounts that only come here to sell.
- Sexual content. No explicit sexual material, no nudity, no sexual advances aimed at another person. Talking about your sex life or your partner belongs here; putting it on display or using it to provoke does not.
- Other people's personal data. Don't post anyone's full name, address, phone, email, workplace, screenshots of private conversations or photos without their permission. And don't try to work out — or hint at — who is behind an anonymous post.
- Pushing anyone toward harm. Encouraging someone to hurt themselves or others, giving instructions for it, celebrating it, or threatening violence. Saying that you are having a hard time is not this: that is exactly what the forum is for, and it is never removed.
On all five, tolerance is zero: there is no warning quota and no three strikes. If something is on this list it comes down, and the account that posted it answers for it.
What happens when a rule is broken
Content is reviewed by moderators and by an automated system, and anyone can report. Depending on what happened, in this order:
- The post or comment is removed. It stops being visible to everyone; whoever wrote it sees it marked as removed in “My posts”.
- The account is paused: you can keep reading, but not post or comment for a while.
- The account is closed and deleted, along with everything it posted. That is what happens with sustained harassment, industrial spam and anything in the child safety section.
A thread can also be closed when the conversation is not going anywhere: the thread stays visible, but stops accepting new replies.
If you think something of yours was removed by mistake, write to soporte@8isok.com and we'll look at it.
Child safety
8isok does not admit anyone under 18 and has zero tolerance for any child sexual abuse or exploitation (CSAE) content or conduct. It is forbidden to post, request, link to or hint at child sexual abuse material; to sexualize a minor in any way, real or fictional; and to use the forum to contact, groom or recruit a minor. No context justifies it and there is no prior warning: the account is deleted.
When we detect something like this — through a report, through automated review or through human review — we remove the content, delete the account and keep the minimum evidence required. We are committed to reporting it to the competent authorities, cooperating with them and responding to their requests.
To report content or conduct of this kind, or anything else related to child safety, write to soporte@8isok.com. Those messages take priority over everything else. If a minor is in immediate danger, call 911 first.
How to report and how to block
Every post and every comment has a report button. You pick the reason and, if you want, say in one line what happened. What you report stops being shown to you right away, even before anyone has reviewed it, and your report is anonymous to whoever wrote it.
You can also block a person from their post, their comment or their profile: you stop seeing what they publish under their name, and you can undo it whenever you want in Settings, under “Blocked users”.
Blocking does not reach anonymous posts, not even those of someone you blocked, and that is on purpose: if blocking a person made certain anonymous threads disappear, blocking would become a way to guess who wrote them. For anonymous content, the way is to report.
For anything else — questions, complaints, appeals — write to soporte@8isok.com.
